Adnexal torsion is a gynecologic emergency that is caused by the rotation of the ovary and/or the tube around its own mesosalpinx. Although any situation that enlarges the adnexes may cause torsion, adnexial masses are in the first order in the etiology. In recent years, with the development of assisted reproductive techniques ovulation induction with gonadotropins may cause ovarian hiperstimulation that enlarges the ovaries and may cause adnexal torsion. Organ sparing surgery should be the first choice of treatment as the majority of patients are in the reproductive period. At this point early diagnosis is very important for preventing from necrosis and allowing the organ sparing surgery. 5 week- pregnant- woman with ovulation induction treatment admitted to our clinic with the signs of acute abdomen. Right ovary doppler ultrasound did not reveal any blood patern and the patient underwent laparotomy due to the diagnosis of ovarian torsion. Right ovary detorsion was performed and on the postoperative fifth day, she was cured and discharged.
